President Draupadi Murmu will visit Tripura on Wednesday, her first visit to the Northeast region after assuming the highest office. She will flag off a new passenger train between Agartala and Kolkata. Officials gave this information on Sunday.
A Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) official said that the President will flag off the Agartala-Kolkata passenger train from Agartala railway station.
Another Tripura government official said that during her two-day stay, Murmu will inaugurate the Judicial Academy and lay the foundation stone of the National Law University at Narsinghgarh on the outskirts of Agartala.
The Tripura government will also host a civilian reception of the President. The President will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several other projects in Tripura.
