One of India’s Finest Pop and Rock Band based out of Bengaluru, The Seher Band was awarded as The Indian Iconic Indie Pop Band of The year 2023 by Pride India Awards, By The Chief Guest of the evening ,the sensational Miss. Pooja Hegde at Shangri La Hotel Bengaluru.
The Band’s lead Vocalist Ovais Kareem Collected The award on behalf of the whole Band When Band’s Mentor Ujjuwal Kumar Mukhia and Diixit Mehta Announced that the band does 25 shows in a Given Month, everyone in there was surprised, even Miss. Pooja Hedge told the lead singer that’s When there’s Only 30 days in a month, doing 25 shows was phenomenal. The Evening was even more beautiful with the presence of the very talented Music director, actor and singer Mr. Daboo Malik and the very Talented Entrepreneur Tanya Satish.
Before Receiving the award, the band’s Vocalist was asked to perform their original song “Kahani” that recently came out as their single.The song’s Music and lyrics was applauded by Daboo Malik and Miss. Pooja Hegde.
Mr. Daboo Malik said that he would be very happy to work with the band towards their Goal of making more songs and praised them for their work.The Seher Band was formed by the college going Students of Bangalore Institute of Technology in the month of August of 2019 who shared a common interest and a driving passion toward music.The College band started performing in different venues and people started liking their music.
The band was thus began playing commercially for the Corporate giants and doing Public shows. The Band’s iconic turn point of gaining huge popularity was when they played at the Horn Ok Music Festival, witnessing a massive crowd of over 6,000 people.The Band popularity increases day by day and many great venues like The Phoenix Marketcity and Hard Rock café calls the band for doing shows. The band has done Shows over and across many cities of India like,Hyderabad, Delhi, Goa, Bengaluru and many more.
Seher has a treasure of gems in its band with the lead Vocalist Ovais Kareem, a Hindustani Classical Trained Vocalist with over 10 years of experience and began singing at the age of 6.The lead guitarist Pranjal Srivastava who has an experience of 9 years of shredding guitar on stage and does mixing and mastering for the band on the original song Project .The Acoustic guitarist Animesh Sharma who has been playing the guitars from the age of 8 and plays guitars as if it’s an extension of his own hands.
The Bass guitarist Debashis Mitra who has done his Grade 8 certification in Bass and Music theory and handles the music composition of the band. The Keyboardist Raj Laxman who has learned keyboard as the age of 5 and has done shows with noted names in the music industry such as Lucky Ali and Manoj George.
The Drummer Manish Raju who first learned Tabla and transformed the tabla knowledge into drums and now has been ripping stages with his drum solos. The percussionist Shishir Rathore who learned tabla and other Indian percussion instruments such as djembe ,dhol and Mridangam .
The Band has released their original Song kahani on all the Major music streaming platforms and are planning to release more songs this year, when asked the lead singer said it would be a surprise for our audience and the Seher family to see Seher crossing genres in song making and the song would be pleasing to all of the indian audience.
Their Next song will be called “Bandagi” and the Singer hinted it would be a rock song with a lot of emotions and skills over the instruments.
The Seher Band has a huge presence over the social media and their works shows talent and skills, it would be a surprise to see what next the band brings out for the world.When asked what is your Band’s Goal, the Singer replied, making better music which can heal the world and can motivate people to be what they want to become and bring a change together in the world. The Band’s Motivation comes from the band Queens and dreams of doing show in the Wembley Stadium and making India proud of their achievements and accomplishments.
