Khumulwng, Tripura: The Syndicate Ground in Khumulwng came alive with musical fervor on December 19, 2023, as Tipra Idol Season 1 reached its grand finale under the auspices of the TTAADC Government. The historic event, marking the first-ever singing reality show in the region, witnessed the convergence of a massive crowd eager to witness the crowning of the inaugural Tipra Idol.
The grand finale was graced by the presence of eminent personalities, including MLA’s, EM’s, MDC’s of the Tipra Mother Party, and other dignitaries from TTAADC. The atmosphere was electric as the seven finalists competed for the coveted title, showcasing their exceptional talent and captivating the audience.
Amidst the closing ceremony and the distribution of prizes, the much-anticipated moment arrived when the winner of Tipra Idol Season 1 was revealed. Rupesh Debbarma emerged as the triumphant artist, delivering a stellar performance that left a lasting impression on the judges and the enthusiastic audience. For his remarkable achievement, Rupesh Debbarma was awarded a grand prize of Rs.1,00,000/- along with a scooty, symbolizing his victory in the musical journey.
The first runner-up position was secured by Rahel Kalai, who demonstrated exceptional musical prowess throughout the competition. Rahel Kalai received a prize of Rs.50,000/-, acknowledging her outstanding contribution to the competition. Sushmita Debbarma, the second runner-up, also earned well-deserved recognition, securing a prize of Rs.25,000/- for her remarkable journey in Tipra Idol Season 1.
