Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha distributed job offers to 1,280 individuals, appointing them to various positions, primarily Lower Division Clerks (LDC). The ceremony took place at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala on Saturday, where the Chief Minister addressed the newly employed individuals.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha stressed the importance of transcending mere job responsibilities and advocated for a deeper commitment to patriotism and ethical values in the workplace. He emphasized that success in a job goes beyond completing assigned tasks and urged the new employees to contribute to the state’s development with sincerity and dedication.

The Chief Minister highlighted the evolution of work practices, citing the transition from traditional file-based operations to the contemporary e-file system. He expressed confidence that the new workforce would play a pivotal role in advancing e-governance, with electronic files efficiently reaching higher levels under their stewardship.

Prof. Dr. Manik Saha credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the positive changes in Tripura, including the implementation of the diamond model, which has significantly improved road, rail, air communication, and internet services. He proudly mentioned Tripura’s achievement of being recognized as a corruption-free state, attributing this success to the Prime Minister’s commitment to a corruption-free India.

In addition to focusing on administrative advancements, the Chief Minister urged government employees to adopt a neutral stance similar to referees or umpires, emphasizing the importance of impartiality in public service. He drew a contrast between the present proactive governance and the historical practice of government offices closing early in the afternoon, followed by processions demanding necessary actions.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Tinku Roy, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, and Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department PK Chakraborty. The event marked a significant step towards empowering the youth and fostering a work culture rooted in patriotism and ethical values in Tripura.
