Two women were injured in a head-on collision between a Maruti Alto car and a battery-powered rickshaw. On Wednesday, local people rescued the injured in Durga Chaumuhani area of the capital Agartala and took them to the hospital.
An eyewitness said that a Maruti Alto car was obeying the traffic signal from Ramnagar 8 road. A battery-powered rickshaw coming from the other side disobeyed the traffic signal and rammed into the Alto car. The rickshaw overturned on the road in a head-on collision. Two female passengers fell from the rickshaw and fell on the road. Both were seriously injured. On seeing the accident, the local people rushed to rescue the two injured women and immediately took them to the hospital. The witness said that the rickshaw driver’s carelessness saved him from a major accident.
