The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), Tripura Unit, has joined the nationwide protest calling for the immediate arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Haryana Minister Sandeep Singh. The demand comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment made by India’s top wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The wrestlers have taken their case to the Supreme Court, seeking a fair investigation into the matter. AIDWA, a left-wing women’s organization, has expressed solidarity with the protesting wrestlers and is urging the authorities to take swift action.

The allegations of sexual harassment against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Haryana Minister Sandeep Singh have sparked outrage within the Indian wrestling community. India’s top wrestlers have taken to the streets, staging protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and seeking legal recourse through the Supreme Court. These athletes, who have dedicated their lives to the sport, are demanding a fair investigation into the complaints against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is also a prominent member of the BJP.

The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), known for its commitment to women’s rights and social justice, has shown solidarity with the protesting wrestlers. AIDWA has initiated a nationwide protest, demanding the immediate arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Sandeep Singh. The organization is determined to expose what it considers the “anti-women” face of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). AIDWA members are actively collecting signatures across the country to gather support for their cause and bring attention to the urgent need for action against the accused politicians.

Krishna Rakshit, a central committee member of AIDWA, addressed the media during the protests. She reiterated the organization’s support for the wrestlers and their demands for justice. Rakshit emphasized the need for immediate arrests of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and Sandeep Singh, highlighting that these allegations of sexual harassment cannot be taken lightly. AIDWA aims to hold accountable those who abuse their power and commit acts of harassment, regardless of their political affiliations.

AIDWA’s call for justice in this case is part of a larger campaign to expose what it perceives as the “anti-women” stance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The organization alleges that the ruling party has failed to address the issues faced by women, and in some cases, its members have been involved in acts of violence and harassment against women. By collecting signatures and raising awareness, AIDWA seeks to draw attention to these issues and hold the BJP accountable for its actions.

While supporting the wrestlers’ cause, AIDWA also demands appropriate action against the perpetrators of other recent sexual assault cases in the region. The organization highlights the college-girl gang rape incident at Amtali Bypass Road and
